Buidling Ingauration on 03rd May 2022

The Don Bosco Child Labour Mission, Davangere, the New Block and Renovated Building was blessed and inaugurated on 03rd May 2022, (Tuesday) by the Various dignitaries of our Sacred Heart Bangalore Province. The Inauguration and Solemn Blessing of the New Social Work Center, Administrative Block and Children’s Home which was renovated was Blessed by Most Rev. Fr Koyickal Jose SDB our beloved Provincial. The New and Renovated Blocks were Inaugurated by Rev. Fr Nedumparambil Joy SDB our Provincial Economer and Rev. Fr Puthanpuriyal Kuriakose, the Founding Father of Don Bosco Child Labour Mission, Davangere respectively. Salesians from different communities of Karnataka took part in this auspicious event of the Don Bosco, Davangere. The Inaugural talk was given by Rev. Fr Provincial. The solemn blessing was conducted by Fr Provincial and it went on well.

The Rector of the Don Bosco Community Rev. Fr Cyril Sagayaraj SDB welcomed the dignitaries and all the Salesians of our communities of Karnataka. After the Blessing and Inauguration of New Block the Don Bosco, Davangere Community had organized a small felicitation programme in the Renovated community Hall. We had Prayer Dance, Words of Welcome by Fr Dias SDB the Vice-Rector. The Inaugural speech was given by Rev. Fr Cyril Sagayaraj SDB, the Rector, and followed by dignitaries’ speech on work for done by the community of for the Young at Risk of Karnataka and particularly Davangere. Fr Rector and the community thanked Former Provincial Rev. Fr Joyce SDB, Rev. Fr P.S George, former Economer and their team for their generous contribution in mobilizing the much needed funds to realize the dream of Don Bosco Child Labour Mission Davangere - a well equipped infrastructure for the poor young children of Davangere. He too, thanked the current Provincial team for all their care, financial support and follow up. Fr Rector also thanked Mr. Ayaswamy and his team for taking up the renovation and New Building Block of Don Bosco Davangere, he and his team along with Mr. Adithya, the Architect and his team for their marvelous job. Our children too, performed few cultural programmes for the felicitation function. The whole event came to a conclusion with an evening refreshment. All the DBCLM, Staff Members, Children, Parishioners, Well-Wishers, Neighboring Religious Houses' Heads and their Representatives and Neighbours were present. It was a great dream realized for the DBCLM and its beneficiaries (Young at Risk children) after 25 years of its existence in Davangere city.

With this new building the present DBCLM it will reach its heights in the coming silver years.
