World Clean Up Day 2018
Responding to the exhortation to involve DBCLM as part of BREADS Bangalore in WORLD CLEAN UP DAY
2018, a global environmental initiative, a cleanliness drive was organized by DBCLM, Davangere. The
staff came together days before to finalize the location where the mission has to be accomplished. After
much discussion and debate it was decided to start at home and therefore a locality just outside the
compound wall where in the newly constructed household around pile up their litter and thrash was
selected for cleaning.
Mr Basanna, the local corporator and Adv Arunkumar were the chief guests of the occasion. The guests
spoke on the importance and necessity of such initiatives and invited the whole public to join hands in
this noble venture especially in a scenario where in the whole country is moving towards a Clean India.
Mr Manjunath B, the chief architect behind this mission requested the corporator to do something to
solve this issue of litter and trash of the locality permanently on behalf of the children, staff and the
people around. Soon after the inauguration of the event all participated in the cleaning mission and
contributed their might to make this world a better to place to live in.
