DBCLM (Don Bosco Child Labour Mission Davangere), a project of the Salesians of Don Bosco, is   an organization at the service of the young at risk: the Child Labourers. Initiated in 1994, in Hospet, DBCLM derives its inspiration from Don Bosco (1815-1888) the Educator-Priest of the 19^th century who dedicated his life to the poor and abandoned youth who lived on the streets of Italy. DBCLM took a definite shape in Davangere in 1996. Today DBCLM is 12 years old. During the past decade, the project has come to the rescue of hundreds of Child Labourers. At present there are around 150 children undergoing Special School programme in our two centers under two projects. Daily we are in touch with over 500 school going children through tuition programmes, field work and follow up of the old children.
