Rakshabandhan 2018

DBCLM organized Rakshabandhan celebration for the children belonging to the projects of Open Shelter and Don Bosco Residential Bridge Course on August 28, 2018 with the intension of fostering a healthy relationship between boys and girls at the centre. Mr Sunil H, Coordinator, Open Shelter Project and Fr Jose Joseph, Administrator, DBCLM, were the guests present for the programme. There were about 55 in all including the staff and children.

The staff and the guests who interacted with the children pointed out fostering a healthy relationship among boys and girls from the tender age itself as a remedial measure for some evils prevalent in the present society. The children were told that all of them are children of one God and thereby they are brothers and sisters. This brother-sister relationship demands that they must protect each other. The girls tied rakhi to the boys and distributed chocolates reminding all those present of this brother sister relationship.
